Quadzilla Returns to the Ring

Jordan Watson, a name that needs no introduction in the muaythai world is making a comeback to the ring after a 2.5 year hiatus it has just been revealed. A star of the Challenger Muaythai TV series among his many accolades, Watson trains and fights out of the Bad Company Gym in Leeds under the tutelage of coach Richard Smith.

Jordan Watson was one of the main athletes when IFMA and WMC launched their official application to the International Olympic Committee in a gala event in Bangkok with representatives of the IOC, World Games the President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand and the list goes on. Jordan was one of the chosen athletes and history is now complete as muaythai is now IOC recognised, Jordan played a part of this historical step for muaythai and the world federation.

Jordan started his career at 9 years of age when he travelled to the Kingdom of Thailand for the first time time with his coach Richard Smith and trained with the now IFMA General Secretary and WMC-Vice President Stephan Fox. Jordan then teamed up again with Stephan Fox more than a decade later when he was his mentor in the emmy-nominated TV show Challenger. Jordan also competed at the Superstar WMC King’s cup event when his fight against Yodsanklai was billed as one of the most outstanding.

Also known as Quadzilla due to his massively sized legs, Watson entered a brief affair with K1 but now fans are excited to see Jordan rekindle his relationship with his first love, muaythai as he steps back into the ring at Yokkao to face Fran Valderrama from Spain’s Internacional Gym .

Jordan has kept fit during his time out of the ring running marathons and still heading down to the gym for regular sparring and believes that if anything the time out of the ring has only made him grow.

On a recent “Kickin It” podcast, Jordan stated that next his goal in the sport is to fight Petchmorakot Petchyindee and seek revenge after he stopped stable mate and close friend Liam Harrison.
