Evolution Supershow Brisbane, Australia
Chandler Arena was again packed to the bursting point, as the Evolution boys under the sanctioning of the World Muaythai Council, put another world class event, which is telecasted on FoxSport and the WMC Network. It was a night of explosion with 100% Muaythai fights and something the audience will talk of for a long time to come. There were 2 Australian title fights on the card with Danny Daddy Cool beating Chris White, and Mark Saracno beating Mark Statie.
The main fights were what the audience came for and they were not to be disappointed, as WMC World Champion, Nathan Carnage Corbett and Leonard put on a fight of world class standards, everything you could expect from a WMC World Champion. For 3 rounds, both fighters went punch by punch, elbow by elbow, and Leonard took the fight to Carnage, but Leonard could not come out of the fight in round 4 by a hand injury. Carnage is just getting stronger from fight to fight.
Bruce McFie over the last 6 months and since his loss in The Contender has been getting stronger from fight to fight, and has once again showed that he is really a serious contender for the WMC World Title. He took on Therapong, who has had many impressive knock-out wins over Europe’s best, but the preacher was simply on fire. For 4 rounds it was a war and out of nowhere McFie stopped Therapong, putting him into the top challenger for the WMC World Title.
WMC S-1 Champion Matsui took on Eli Madigan, who stopped Soren Mongkontong in his last fight. Matsui showed his world-class skill and why he is the Kings Cup Champion by stopping Madigan in the third round.
Overall, another great night of world - class fights and now McFie will be off to Sweden to represent Australia in the WMC Rumble of the Kings, while Matsui will challenge Eugene Ekkelboom for the WMC Super Middleweight Title. Congratulations to the promoters and stay tuned to watch these fights on the WMC network.
