WMC I-1 World Muaythai Grand Prix 2008 Hong Kong
Super promoter Kim Yip, the Hong Kong Muaythai Association and the WMC put on another sold out event in Hong Kong.
The WMC I-1 has become one of the most prestigious events in the China region and again it was a night to remember.
The main supporting bout was an all female fight between Boom Lee from Hong Kong/Canada versus Queen Latvia from South Africa. Boom showed the crowd why she is one of the top watched fighters on the WMC network.
WMC I-1 WGP Quarterfinal 1
Andrei Kulebin (Belarus) vs Leonardo Amendoim Monteiro (Brazil)
The perfect opening fight, with the Brazilian fighter putting on a show by taking Kulebin to the limit. The World champion put on a smart performance winning by unanimous decision.
WMCI-1 WGP Quarterfinal 2
Mehdi Zatout (France) vs Raul Llopis (USA)
This was with no doubt one of the best fights of the night, both boys really showing world class Muaythai. A very close decision to France but respect must go to the USA fighter proving they can go toe to toe with anyone in the world.
WMCI-1 WGP Quarterfinal 3
Rudolf Durica (Slovakia) vs Santichai (Thailand)
This has been the fight the audience have been waiting for- Durica, the WMC Intercontinental Champion versus the ever popular Santichai. A solid performance by both fighters but Durica fighting very smart and taking the decision.

Kieran Keddle (United Kingdom) vs Peyman Shahrokni (Sweden)
This was another anticipated fight with Kieran Keddle taking on Peyman. It was a crowd pleasing fight with Keddle taking the point decision.
WMCI-1 WGP Semifinal 1
Andrei Kulebin (Belarus) vs Mehdi Zatout (France)
A fantastic performance by both fighters. Zatout showing a little too much respect in the opening round but in rounds 2 and 3, there were some great exchanges, but Kulebin was on top of his game, taking a point decision
WMCI-1 WGP Semifinal 2
Unluckily Durica had to withdraw because of an injury, so Santichai was back in the game against Kieran Keddle.
Santichai (Thailand) vs Kieran Keddle (United Kingdom)
Keddle showing a little toomuch respect in the first half of the fight and opened up too late with Santichai fighting smartly and taking the point decision.
