Return of Contender Super Show in Australia Huge success

Evolution 14 was the biggest Indoor event Chandler arena ever has seen. The arena was packed to the bursting point for this special event  organized by the Evolution promoters under the sanctioning of the World Muaythai Council. This was a night filled with entertainment  when some of the biggest names from around the world marched into the stadium.

The opening fight was between  Superboy from Thailand versus Steve NTG. This fight made for a perfect opening. A great display of Muaythai  with the Thailand visitor pulling out the Muaythai arsenal but Steve NTG went toe to toe with him for a devastating 5 rounds. Decision went unaminious to Thailand.

Fight two was the female fight between  Jessie Tolhurst the Australian Champion vs Sornawan Somboon from Thailand. This fight showed that girl fights are just as exciting as the male counterparts with some great exchanges and a split point decision was awarded to Australia and rematch is a must.
Fight three was war. Mark Sarracino vs Benhiah Douma. This was the fight of the toughest versus the toughest .Five rounds of non stop entertainment  which had the crowd on the edge of their seats with Mark taking the decision.

Next up Dane Daddy Cool vs Jare Sangtong. Dane Dayy Cool’s entrance swept the crowd of thier feet and the fight was another world class performance by both fighters with Daddy Cool taking the Decision for Australia .

Next up was the first fight the audience had come for. Eli Madigan versus Contender personality Zidov. Zidov injured his knee in the first round  but did well to stay alive but in the second round Eli Madigan came out in world class style working on Zidov and stopping him. Eli Madigan - definitely someone to look out for if he qualifies for Contender Season two.

It was time for one of the main events - Bruce Preacher Macfie vs Sean Wright both boys pin-up boys of Contender Asia and the fight everyone wanted to see. Sean Wright  was on the form of his life and this was a fight which was non stop action for five rounds and Sean Wright beat out Macfie on a point decision and both fighters received a standing ovation.

The main undercard event was Nathan " Carnage " Corbett the WMC World Champion vs Wehan King.
This was nothing less than an elbow feast as both fighters for three rounds threw punches and elbows. Mid-way through the second round, Corbett connecting first and two minutes later he connected the second winning by knockout and  Chandler’s arena went crazy.

Then it was time for the main event. Two Contender superstars in a rematch the world wanted to see - JWP versus the tough as nails Dzhabar Askerov and what a fight it was!

5 rounds of kick versus kick, punch versus punch, a world class performance by both fighters and JWP showed us exactly why there is no only one JWP in Australia taking home a point decision but Dzhabar won the hearts of the audience and got a standing ovation and the respect of over 5000 spectators.

The stadium went into an even bigger frenzy when the Host of Contender Asia announced that the Australian Qualifier will be held in Chandler arena December the 6th.

What a night for Muaythai and a big thank you must go to the promoters and the event will be shown on Fox and on the WMC Network around the world.
