TM WMC WORLD MUAY THAI CHALLENGE - MALAYSIA

Malaysia is opening its doors to a great Muaythai event fully sanctioned by the World Muaythai Council and the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA).

This event is organized by Boxx Event, an entity who have been successfully promoting Muay Thai in Malaysia. This is the first event for 2008 (after 3 successful events in 2007), and will be held in conjunction with Visit Kedah Year 2008 and in honor of the 80th Birthday of the Sultan of Kedah.

There will be 13 fights in total with 2 title fights. In the 63.5 kg category, Abbas Ahmadi representing Boxx Warriors, Malaysia will take on Avison Harlee Porpramuk from Australia and in the 69.5 kg, the legendary Numsaknoi from Thailand will fight against the underdog Sayed Mehdi from Iran.

Besides that, a few other boxers who will take part will be Mohd Ali, Hashim Rozaidi and Hafiz Rozaidi from Boxx Warriors, Malaysia, the crowd favourite Daniel Mashamaite from South Africa, Irsyad Sayed from Tunisia , WMC Superstars Rudolf Durica, Dzhabar “Genghis Khan” Askerov and many more.

This event is also supported by the State Government of Kedah and is the first ever Muay Thai event sponsored by corporate giant Telekom Malaysia Ltd.

This will be one of many events organized in Malaysia this year as Muaythai in Malaysia is becoming more and more popular and the Contender Asia show is the number one rated show in Malaysia.
