Contender Asia Final – A must see !

In the past 3 months over 40 million audiences have been fanatically watching the Mark Burnett Production of reality series, the Contender Asia.  Sixteen Muaythai fighters were chosen for this series and the world is falling in love with the sport and the art of Muaythai.  Through Contender Asia, the world has learned about the values, traditions, history, toughness, skill levels and most importantly, the respect each fighter has for one another; just like the slogan says, “Respect All – Fear None”.

Through series of challenges the matches were decided and any warrior at any given time could have been called in the ring.  The audiences fell in love with the boys as the stories of these fighters unfold, reveal the real human drama.  They trained, lived and fought together and when one had to leave the loft it was like losing a brother.  For the rest of their lives, they will remember this experience about the crazy moments, the fights, the joy and sadness and most importantly the friendships.  Every battle mark will be carried like a badge of honour.  Singapore, the host country for the Contender Asia and the Government of Singapore has given its full support.  These boys rapidly become the real celebrities. 

The mentor of the show was none other than the Vice President of the WMC and Muaythai personality.  With the WMC, the world governing body for the sport giving its full backing, the Contender Asia will undoubtedly be another milestone towards Muaythai Olympic dream.

The Contender Asia will be aired in 50 countries to an audience of over 400 million people worldwide.  The total prize money (equivalent to around SGD $500,000) was the highest prize money paid in the history of the sport.

The final showdown was one of the classiest Muaythai events ever produced and the atmosphere of the Singapore Stadium was electrifying.  We have no intention of disclosing the winner and the Contender Asia website is blocked in many regions due to the series commencing to air in many countries outside of Asia, therefore we prefer not to spoil the weekly excitement.  For those who are impatient to find out the result, we are certain that you have already visited the official Contender Asia website for all the results.
