Perth Thai Boxing Promotions under the banner of the WMC, IFMA and Oceania Muaythai Federation really put Perth, Australia on the world map with this show. The stadium was sold out to the last seat as WA’s finest made their home country proud.
The under card, sanctioned under IFMA, a member of GAISF, saw some of the upcoming WA talents vying for a shot at the upcoming World Championships in Bangkok.

The first international main fight between Caley Lewis and Nitikwan from Thailand was a great promotion for female Muaythai, both girls proving that female fighting can be just as or even more exciting than male fighting. Caley took a unanimous points decision against the very experienced Thai fighter.

The main under card fight was between Australian Champion and IFMA Silver medal winner Chris White and Switzerland’s Benny Ritter. A fantastic effort by both fighters which had the crowd on their feet as Chris White again showed his world class skills, winning a points decision, but all respect to Benny Ritter who really took the fight to Chris with a never-say-die attitude. Chris White with no doubt is a fighter to watch out for.

The fight of the night was the WMC World Title fight between Eugene Ekkelboom and Alex Dally from England, and Eugene once again showed his class and his incredible grappling skills. Alex Dally took the fight to Eugene but Eugene with the support of the sell out crowd put in another a superb performance. Both boys stood toe to toe in round three, looking for a decision, and both received cuts. In Round 4 Eugene came out like a raging bull, putting Dally under pressure, and mid Round 4 caught him with a perfect shot, knocking Dally out and ensuring that the WMC Super Middleweight Title stayed again in Perth Australia.
Congratulations to the organizers on a fantastic night of Muaythai.
