The beautiful town of Mannheim was the first step in the qualifying rounds of the official WMC sanctioned S1 Tournament and without a doubt the night was a huge success for fight fans in Germany, receiving huge national media attention and fulfilling all expectations - the atmosphere in the stadium was equivalent to that at a big soccer match.

Schmitt won the Super 8 by KO, in this the first German WMC S1 qualifying event, with more to come, as well as many more qualifying events to be held around the world before the Grand Final is staged in Bangkok in front of 300000 spectators.
           
The event was organized by the Muaythai Club from Mannheim (Thai Bombs) and German WMC Representative Detlef Turnau welcomed son of legendary Thailand and WMC Promoter Songchai Ratanasuban, Mr Chai Ratanasuban.
