WMC Female World Title Fight

World renowned Muaythai personality Master Sken put on another world class event under the banner of the World Muaythai Council, the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur and the United Kingdom Muaythai Federation. The event held in the beautiful city of Manchester and was sold out well in advance, as the card featured a World Muaythai Council Female World Title between Thai superstar Daoprasuk and English champion Rachel Jones.
This fight received huge media interest, in particular as it was the first WMC Female World Title held in England.

Daoprasuk, the two time IFMA World champion, WMC World champion and Queen’s Cup Fighter of the Year was a class act as usual, while Rachel Jones really showed her toughness and skills in a 5 round war which proved to the world that female Title fights can be as or more exciting than male fights. Daoprasuk took a points decision but credit must go to Rachel Jones for a world class performance.
The main undercard fight saw Rungsiam from Thailand battling it out with Liam Harrison in a great Muaythai fight. Liam Harrison, with the help of the home crowd, took home a close points decision in a fantastic display of skill.
WMC English champion Michael Diggs again showed his class by stopping Azdin Amazian of Holland, slowly working his way in the WMC Top ten.

The undercard, sanctioned by IFMA, saw the first qualifying rounds for the upcoming IFMA World Championships to be held later in the year in Thailand.
Overall the event, which will be televised on the WMC Network, showed yet again that England is without a doubt one of Europe’s Muaythai powerhouses.
