Perth was once again the host city for a WMC mega event, with the stadium filled to capacity.

The big fight of the night was WMC World champion Eugene Ekkelboom's non title defense bout against Gabriel Rossi from Canada. A great fight, with Gabriel really putting pressure on Eugene for the first three rounds. In round three Eugene found his fight game putting Gabriel in trouble with knees and mid round 4 he really found his mark with a knee to the solar plexus from which the Canadian could not recover. A great performance by Gabriel Rossi but Eugene Ekkelboom once again showed his world class level in preparation for his title defense in May.

The main undercard was Chad Walker, the Australian WMC Champion, vs Yoann Gouaida from France. Yoann, a well known fighter in Thailand, especially after his stoppage of Changpuk really put on a great fight and both boys put in a world class performance, the fight ending in a draw to the delight of the audience. Many other Australian superstars were on the card, including Daniel Dawson, who defeated Jakkirt Suwannalird of Thailand.
