A special event was held in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine, under the motto “Health of Generations”. Muaythai Against Drugs fits perfectly with this agenda, and the venue was packed with over 15,000 spectators. Many superstars from Ukraine, including rockstars, movie stars and sports stars, like Wladimir Klitschko, the boxing world champion, were part of the event.

The Ukrainian Muaythai Federation is one of the founding members of WMC and IFMA, and its president Mr Gennady Trukhanov, a very influential politician and businessman in Ukraine, who is also the vice president of WMC and IFMA, have taken Muaythai to new heights.

The main fight was for the WMC Intercontinental Title belt, between former IFMA European and World Champion, Bogdan Lukin, and Pat Siam, the winner of Muaythai Against Drugs Thailand, which was the highlight of the event.
The fight had the spectators on their feet and there were five rounds of nonstop action, and with the help of 15,000 fanatical Ukrainians, Bogdan Lukin was the winner of this prestigious belt.

The famous boxing world champion, Wladimir Klitschko personally congratulated both boxers, as both received a standing ovation. After this, the stage was free for concerts and entertainment and again the WMC and IFMA flag flew high.
Congratulations must go to the organisers, especially the Ukrainian Muaythai Federation, and as the event was televised live all over Russia, this was certainly a huge promotion for Muaythai.
