On the 4th and 5th of December 2006 , the WMC in cooperation with SukOneSongchai Promotions will put on a 2-day MuayThai Festival with some of the best international and Thai boxers on the card.

This show is being held as part of the birthday celebrations for His Royal Highness, the King of Thailand. This year the celebrations are even bigger and more impressive than usual as 2006 is also the Diamond Jubilee of His Majesty’s Accession to the throne.

The 2-days will be packed full of thrilling fights with male and female boxers travelling from 29 countries to honour His Majesty.

Highlights will include the S-1 tournament held every year by Songchai Promtions at 72 kgs.

For the first time in Thailand, there will be a WMC Super-8 at SuperHeavy Weight with boxers from Germany, Russia , Sudan, Kazakhstan, Iran , Italy and Hungary.

International fighters will step up against Thai fighters chosen from the WMC Rankings for WMC Intercontinental Titles !

There are a number of exciting Female bouts scheduled to take place – including a Special Belt which carries the title of Miss MuayThai. 10 boxers from Thailand and abroad will battle it out for this title.

Altogether, fans will be treated to almost 60 fights with each boxer carefully selected for their abilities and skills.

Outside the ring , there will be a scintillating display of MuayThai Aerobics from the Thai National Team !

For the first time ever , the world will see the Miss World Round-Girl competition – women from 6 countries will compete for this title.

2 days of non-stop action with the best of the best from the WMC rankings competing to show their respects to His Majesty.
